Autotrol Old Style Bypass Valve was replaced by newer style ( double shut off knobs ) around the year 2000.


 



Some of parts for the old style By Pass Valves are NO LONGER available.
But the new 256 By Pass can be used with Autotrol 155 and newer 255 valves.
NOTE: There is no replacement for the by pass used on old 163 and 168 models, but since these valves are threaded at the rear of the valve body ( thread exposed when by pass removed ), it is possible to connect the adapter nuts directly to the valve, without use of a by pass.
This is not the case for 155 or 255 valves. They Require a By Pass if using the Adapter Nuts, or a Piping Boss ( yoke ) option is another way to connect to the water lines.
